Dye with us on Sunday, April 15th from 2-5pm. Explore the surprising bursts of colors offered up by the most humble of flora, experiment with the variety of colors given from one dye pot, and create your own dye journal to document the process and chronicle the colors of the day. We'll use both everyday dye stuffs such as avocado pits and yellow onion skins as well as dye extracts found in the midwest and beyond. You'll walk away with a dyed silk scarf and fabric samples from each dye pot, a 3-ring binder with printables, and a sample dye extract to take home and explore. Aprons will be provided in class but please wear clothing and shoes that you wouldn't mind accidentally getting some color on. Gloves will be provided.
Class will include light refreshments and the best kind of company. Come with a friend and make it even more fun!
Partial refunds (50%) are available up to 2 weeks prior to the class.
